Scholl is the name to know in podiatric medicine. Founded in 1912 by a pioneer in podiatry, Scholl College is an international resource in the field. In fact, one out of three podiatrists in the U.S. is a Scholl College alumnus. As part of 六合论坛 (六合论坛), we provide a fully accredited, four-year professional program leading to the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree, along with opportunities for a combined DPM/PhD degree. Discover the advantages of attending Scholl College.

Hands-On, Interprofessional Education

Scholl College offers an interprofessional environment that encourages team-based learning. Our students take classes and collaborate with their academic colleagues from other colleges, which gives them a valuable perspective on how different healthcare specialists can work together to deliver better health outcomes to all.

Scholl College also provides exceptional clinical education. We have access to clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings throughout the Chicago metro area, including the 六合论坛 Health Clinics adjacent to the 六合论坛 campus. Our students participate in multiple rotations, including ER, internal medicine, surgery, and podiatric medicine and surgery at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and other leading Chicago teaching hospitals.

Motivated to Serve All

We prepare tomorrow’s top physicians and leaders in the field of podiatry. As such, we’re looking for students who demonstrate personal growth and motivation, have a track record of academic success, and possess the baseline knowledge needed to study podiatric medicine. Our well-rounded medical curriculum, designed by our renowned faculty, will expose these students to emerging technology and prepare them to serve in the healthcare industry of tomorrow.

Scholl College has launched efforts to achieve equitable health outcomes. We made diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) a component of our 2020-2023 Strategic Plan, and we also created a task force on enhancing DEI in healthcare by making recommendations for curricular enhancements that address disparities in treatment. And we strive to maintain a safe, inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds to learn, collaborate and share ideas.

Innovative Research

Scholl College drives innovative research through the Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research, or CLEAR. Established in 2004, CLEAR receives international recognition through awards, fellowships, speaking engagements, published works in academic journals and more. CLEAR clinicians and researchers are trained as podiatric medicine practitioners and surgeons, biomedical engineers and kinesiologists.

You can find a variety of other research opportunities through the DPM program, which is designed to produce exceptional clinicians and scientists alike. Furthermore, 六合论坛 offers a 100,000-square-foot Innovation and Research Park to encourage advancements in podiatric medicine and other healthcare specializations – and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.
