To educate podiatric medical students in an interprofessional environment that emphasizes excellence in academics, research, patient care and service to the community in preparation for residency training.

The college will be the leader in the education of podiatric medical students, curricular development, and research in lower extremity health.

Academic Excellence

  • Redesign curriculum
  • Implement a modular P1 curriculum for the 2024-2025 AY
  • Provide faculty development sessions on innovative teaching methods

Student Success and Wellness

  • Develop and implement a college-specific mechanism to identify student needs related to student success and wellness.
  • Implement and promote programs to address student success and wellness
  • Develop outreach strategies for faculty, staff, and students to raise awareness of available resources to encourage student participation.

Enrollment Management

  • Track and analyze pre-matriculation metrics and student success to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Pursue a sustainable admissions pathway with a university boasting a diverse student body emphasizing commitment to sustainability and diversity.
  • Create 2 pipeline programs at selected undergraduate universities
  • Track and analyze the impact of recruitment efforts on enrollment

Research Excellence

  • Offer quarterly opportunities for developing clinical faculty in research
  • Provide education and training in IRB processes for alumni.
  • Expand network of university and industry research partners.

Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy

  • Recruit and implement a Scholl College Dean’s External Leadership Council composed of alumni leaders with differing skills and experiences.
  • Achieve or surpass our $1,000,000 anonymous challenge by closing (at a minimum) $1,000,000 in gifts to Scholl College by October 2025.
  • Grow reunion programming from one day to two days to increase alumni interest, engagement, and attendance.
